Captivate 12.6 – Smoother slide transtions needed for simulation.
October 24, 2025

I have a simulation project I’m building in Captivate 12.6. Some of the people testing it are reporting brief flashes of white as each slide moves forward.  Has anyone else experienced this and know how to address it?  It was suggested that I look at the timings on each slide, but I don’t understand how the timeline would impact this. When the slide ends, it should just move to the next, smoothly, not with these flashes.

As a simulation, I want the user to feel like they are actually working in the application and they would not experience this in the app.

Hi Veronica Johnson,

Thank you for your query.

Please install the latest version of Captivate (v13) and check if it resolves the issue. You can install it via Help > Check for Updates or download it directly from here.

If the issue persists, please provide the below information:

  • Do you also see the flashes when previewing or publishing project locally, or only after hosting on a web server/LMS?
  • Which LMS/server are you using to host the published output?
  • Are all the users seeing this issue, or only specific ones?
  • Which operating system and version are you using?
  • Did this project work fine earlier? Also, are you facing issues with a specific project or multiple files?

You may also contact the technical support team directly via phone (+1-800-833-6687) or chat (https://www.adobe.com/getsupport) for assistance.
