Quick question and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Can SCORM / HTML5 content be stored remotely and delivered via a number of LMS’s using another SCORM wrapper.

Content ideally created in Adobe Captivate.

Thank you.

wrapper.Central content distrubted via SCORM wrapper

Ideally data would like to be written back to the remote content as well as the individual’s LMS.

All without using xAPI. or is xAPI the only way to go?

It allows you to distribute the same training to multiple clients.

I don’t really understand the question. You can upload the same published content to different LMSs but they will probably not collaborate at all, if that is the purpose. It seems bit illogical, why would you use several LMSs? Maybe if you explain your question more in detail? All LMSs are accessible remotely since they reside on the WWW.

I think the main reason for not giving away the actual SCORM package is to keep control over the content. If you hand over just a small SCORM package to the LMS owner gain these benefits:

  • Customer satisfaction through easy LMS integration with small file size.
  • Content creation with the authoring tools of your choice.
  • Update content behind the scenes.
  • Anonymous usage reporting.
  • Restrict or disable access at any time.

We’re currently developing a solution on our own, so if somebody is interested, just leave me a message.
