Hi, I am having some issues with creating a command line simulation in Captivate 7. The user has to enter correct information on one slide in a text entry box. The user then needs to enter a command on another slide. If the information in the first text entry box is not correct they will get on message, conversely it’s correct they will get another.

I have tried to set it up using an conditional action but it seems like I am missing something as it’s not working. Any suggestions? Can Captivate store the correct data from a text entry box once you move to another slide?

Hey Lisa
I have assumed that you have used a conditional action which jumps to a slide if the entry is correct and jumps to another slide for a wrong entry. Am I correct?
Also, can you let me know if you have enabled the checkbox “Validate user input” in the PI along with applying the conditional action.

Thanks and Regards

Hi, Yes that is what my conditional action is doing. I was actually able to get this working. I had to assign the correct boolean values to the first Text Entry Box and then it worked.

I wondered about that — I would love to use the functionality, but I’m publishing these as HTML5/SCORM courses. What will work for that, anything?

I have created the course in the
Captivate 7 and Play/Pause and Audio On/Off
smart shape buttons works fine in SWF version, but the smart shape button
functionality does not work in the HTML5 version with Chrome.

Unfortunately the page you are NOW taken to wants you to REGISTER (but does NOT provide a date of when the next webinar actually is!)
